(An entry in my 200 Albums project. Starting March 2026 I decided to listen to 200 more-or-less random albums.)
One purpose of this project is to listen to the complete album of popular artists I’m not particularly familiar with. I’ve listened to more Gorrilaz than Blur, and am generally favorable to Damon Albarn. The only Blur songs I’ve heard are the giant hits that are in movies, blasted in stadiums, and used in commercials (?).
This album sounds like a band/artist trying to find their sound. Here’s a song that sounds like Bowie, here’s on that sounds like the Who, here’s a Kinks-style song, etc.
